This ancient spice originated in the Mediterranean and was brought to Latin America by the Spanish during the conquest. It has a very strong taste and aroma, slightly bitter and sweet.
If you are not too familiar with the flavour of cumin, it is advisable to try it in small doses at first. That way it will be easier to get used to its strong taste.
Cumin is very versatile and can be used in marinades, sauces, bread, etc.
